  About The Curtis Tucker Center for Community Wellness

The Curtis Tucker Center for Community Wellness (CTCCW) provides a welcoming space where community members can connect, access resources, and engage in a wide range of wellness activities, including fitness programs, cooking classes, creative wellness offerings, and more. The Center also offers support related to mental health, substance use, and overall health and well-being. All programs and services are free and open to the community.

Monday, Thursday & Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00PM
Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Get connected to prevention and treatment services, including risk reduction, prevention, and treatment. Substance Abuse Counselors are available to provide referrals for prevention and treatment resources, and informative presentations.

    Image of Help Me Grow Help Me Grow LA works with families and connects them to services that can support their child's development. A Family Partner Provider is available on-site to:

  • Connect partners or caregivers
  • of children with developmental delays or special health care needs to community support agencies.
  • Facilitate groups to connect and support parents and caregivers.
  • Provide support to parents and caregivers in navigating services.

    The Curtis Tucker Center for Community Wellness is hosted by the Department of Public Health. Service Planning Area 8 (SPA 8) serves the communities of the South Bay. SPA 8 communities includes Athens, Avalon, Carson, Catalina Island, El Segundo, Gardena, Harbor City, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Lawndale, Lennox, Long Beach*, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Dominguez, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, San Pedro, Torrance, Wilmington, and others.
