Contingency Management (CM) is an evidence-based treatment that can help someone stop using stimulants. Common stimulant drugs include cocaine or meth. CM is an outpatient treatment program where an
eligible participant can receive gift cards for regular negative urine drug tests. Program participants can earn up to $599 in gift cards to use at retail and grocery stores when they don’t use
stimulants.

The Recovery Incentives (Contingency Management) Program is a benefit offered through the Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS).
SAPC provider agencies are encouraged to offer this highly effective treatment service.
Among the 48 LA County providers offering contingency management, 98% of client drug tests are negative.
