
Overview
In response to an April 15, 2025 motion by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, the Department of Public Health is launching a new soil testing program. Up to $3 million from the Lead Paint Hazard Mitigation Program has been allocated to fund free soil lead testing for residents living downwind of the Eaton Fire burn area.
How It Works
STEP 1
Confirm that your property is within the target area for soil testing by checking the map.
STEP 2
Follow the Soil Sampling Collection Procedures carefully to collect your soil sample.
STEP 3
Print and complete the Soil Sample Submission Form and include it with your soil sample.
