Private Domestic Water Wells

Los Angeles County requires property owners to demonstrate that their private domestic water well provides an adequate supply of potable water suitable for domestic use.  The Drinking Water Program staff review submitted work plans, review historical records, perform site inspections, verify installation of the sanitary seal and base, confirm well yield test results, and collect water samples for laboratory analysis of  bacteriological and primary inorganic chemicals in accordance with the Los Angeles County Code.
