COVID-19 Vaccination Toolkit

Resources for Healthcare Providers

INTRODUCTION

Vaccinating children against COVID-19 is an important step in preventing serious disease in your patients. Your recommendation to vaccinate is critical to a parent’s decision making. We developed this toolkit to help support you with enrolling in the State’s COVID-19 vaccine program, myCAvax, and talking with your patients about the COVID-19 vaccine.

It is now easier to become a vaccine provider and DPH can offer one on one assistance with the enrollment process. Please click here to learn more.

If you are not yet a COVID-19 vaccine provider or if you are in the process of enrolling, we have included helpful resources for patients including COVID-19 vaccine fact sheets and activity sheets for children, along with provider resources for you and your staff to help you feel prepared to discuss the vaccine with patients and to eventually administer the COVID-19 vaccine.

While you’re coming onboard, please consider where you’ll refer your patients to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine. Your recommendation to parents and caregivers is critical, and you are a key vaccination resource for vulnerable children.
